Welcome! This guide is intended to help you navigate the world of social science literature so that you can compile a literature review––a way to "join the scholarly conversation" with your own original research. Your research will "speak to" the current literature (for example, by offering a new example of a trend or idea or attempting to refute current assumptions), and you will need to be selective about which literature you choose for that conversation. After all, you can't talk to everyone!
Research is messy, and you will have many false starts. But I am confident you can do this. Please remember to use me as a resource; I am here to support your research and learning.
