HCOM1323/THTR1306: Oral Interpretation of Literature

This guide offers suggestions and starting points for finding literary texts in the library that will be useful to your work with Sam Gilliam's course, Oral Interpretation of Literature.

Search the Library Catalog

Find Literary Texts by Author

To find works in print by a specific author:

1.  Go to the library catalog.
2.  Do a simple search using the author's name.
3.  Find a book in the list that looks promising and make note of the call number.
4.  Locate the book in the library using the call number.  Then, look around.  There will be a number of other books by that author in the same location.

Where is the poetry/fiction?

BROWSING. You must learn to meander, at least sometimes among shelves of books!
