Getting started with the Omeka exhibit platform

Create Exhibits

Exhibits are narrative collections of items. They provide context for the individual items, and draw connections between them to tell a story to visitors. 

To begin, select "Exhibits" from the left-hand navigation menu. If you are creating an individual exhibit for your class, click the green "Add an Exhibit" button. If you are editing a group exhibit, click "Edit" under the name of the exhibit.

Add a New Page

Add a new page to your exhibit at the bottom of the "Edit Exhibit" page. Drag-and-drop to rearrange pages; they can even be nested. Be sure to click "Save Changes" when you are done.

Edit Pages

Every page requires a title, a shortened title for the navigation menu, and a url slug. Add content blocks by selecting the kind of content you wish to display; each page can contain more than one block. Be sure to click "Save" in the upper right hand corner when you are done!
