Going beyond Google
You can save time by using search engines for websites that are aimed at a more academic audience such as GoogleScholar, Google's article search tool.
Also try an advanced google search using the "site:" operator. To do this, just type in your google search terms combined with the domain name you are looking to search. For example:
- Only want academic websites back? Try: site:.edu
- Only want government websites in your search results? Try: site:.gov
- Only want organizational websites? Try: site:.org
Notice in the results below that a search using site:.edu returns only .edu sites:
