Access to newspapers, including activation instructions for the Chronicle of Higher Education, Economist, Financial Times, and the New York Times

Wall Street Journal

The Coates Library has a site license for current access, including:

  • The same articles and images from the print edition, along with extra resources. These include online-only articles and videos.
  • Access to content from the last current four years only on a rolling basis.

Register for an Account

To activate your account:

  1. Click https://wsj.com/Trinity to register an individual Trinity account
  2. You may be asked to sign in to the authentication screen using your Trinity network ID and password
  3. A separate WSJ account creation page will appear. Input:  
    1. Account Type - select Professor, staff, or student
    2. First & Last Name
    3. Email address - use your Trinity email address
    4. Password - create a unique password for WSJ.com (do not input your Trinity network password)
    5. Graduation Month & Year (students only)
  4. Customize account preferences
  5. Check your email inbox and click on the confirmation email

Note: Your email address and newly created password will become your login credentials when accessing content directly on WSJ.com or using the WSJ app.

Access WSJ.com

After your WSJ.com account is activated, you can go directly to https://www.wsj.com to sign in with your Trinity email and WSJ password.

Students

After graduation, you will be eligible to maintain your own personal WSJ subscription at discounted rates.

Faculty and Staff

You will need to reactivate your access once per year. You will receive an email a week ahead that will prompt you to reactivate.

Existing WSJ.com Subscribers

If you have a personal WSJ.com subscription, you may cancel your existing subscription and take advantage of the Trinity University membership.

  1. Call Customer Service to cancel at 1-800-JOURNAL (1-800-568-7625). 
  2. Explain that you are switching to a school-sponsored membership at Trinity University.
  3. Once the personal subscription is cancelled, activate your membership using the registration link:
