From Dr. Burke's assignment:
- The intent of this project is for you to follow both the extent and depth of coverage of national, state, and local political issues by the news media.
- Among other issues, these should be key components of your journal:
- The Biden Presidential Administration
- The Ken Paxton impeachment proceedings
- Donald Trump’s legal travails
- The 2024 Presidential Race (especially on the Republican side)
- Local issues (especially the Houston mayoral race)
- Your journal is a daily (five out of seven days per week) project running from September 1 – October 28, 2023.
If you have questions or are having a hard time finding sources, please don't hesitate to come see me. I am here to help!
Additionally, remember what Dr. Burke said: "Daily means daily." Keep up with your entries; from what I've seen, it'll be nearly impossible to make up for several missed days. Aim for no less than five out of seven days a week.
