Find a book using the library catalog. You can use:
- keywords
- author's name
- book title

Most print books in the library are on the 2nd or 4th floor. These areas are called the "stacks."
- Each set of shelves holds books on different subjects. The subjects have codes, called "call numbers."
- Bookshelves are labeled with different call number "ranges."
- Ranges correspond to subjects, geography, and time periods.
How are the books organized?
- Library of Congress call numbers are used for each book
- the books have the date they were published on the side
- use the call number (DG731.82.D43 S67 2022) to find the item in the library
- 4th floor: N through Z
- 3rd floor: encyclopedias and reference materials
- 2nd floor: A through L
