Citation Tracking
Navigate the literature on your topic by starting with a relevant article or author, then work backward or forward. Ask yourself:
- What sources does my article or book cite? Check the bibliography for leads.
- Which later articles or books cite the article I've found? Use the resources below.
- Google ScholarLook for "Cited by" links which show the influence of a given piece of scholarship by linking to other works that have cited it. You can search your keywords within this narrow set of related works to locate sources you may have overlooked. Remember to use ILL when necessary.
