ANTH 1301: Introduction to Anthropology

Welcome to your research guide!

Welcome to your research guide for Professor Alfred Montoya's ANTH1301: Intro to Anthropology.

I was once an undergraduate anthropology major. At times I was overwhelmed by the mountains of information out there, and at times I was totally frustrated about not being able to find "anything at all" on my topic. You may feel those conflicting emotions, too! (Or maybe not; in which case, lucky you!) Turns out, research is a practice and will only become easier with practice. Not easy, but easier. You don't have to figure it all out at once

Remember also that the field of anthropology lets you explore things in the world that you are actually excited about. Take advantage of that and pick a topic you personally want to learn more about, not just a topic that seems like it has the most info about it out there.

Also remember that I am here to help you, so feel free to email, call, or stop by my office on the third/main floor of the library. My contact info is right on this page.

Here we go now,
