The library's print collection

Location: Library 2nd floor, NE corner

Collection Contents:

  • Literary classics, fiction, poetry, picture books, mythology
  • Biographies, counting and activity books, mysteries, history, science
  • Textbooks
  • Older titles, some of which may be considered controversial or offensive. These books are retained for the academic study of such representations and their impacts.

In the catalog, the Children’s Literature Collection is identified by the symbol EML (Educational Materials Literature) preceding the call number.

Note: Classics of children's literature that are often the subject of literary analysis may also be located in the literature sections (call number P) on the 4th floor.
