What you might want to know about our interlibrary loan (ILL) service

Submit a request

You want to borrow an item you've found in WorldCat.
  1. In the WorldCat Detailed Record look for the words, "Send Request to ILLiad." Click on that link. 
  2. Log on to ILLiad using your network credentials.
  3. The form populates automatically. 
  4. Review the information and add any necessary notes, the date it's needed by (optional), and so on. 
  5. Click "Submit Request." 

You found an item in an article database such as Academic Search Complete, but there is no PDF and clicking on "Full Text Finder" doesn't locate a copy. 
  1. After you click on "Full Text Finder," find the words, "Request this item through Interlibrary loan." Click on that link.
  2. Log on to ILLiad with your network credentials.
  3. The form populates automatically. 
  4. Review the form and add any necessary notes, the date it's needed by (optional), and so on. 
  5. Click "Submit Request."

 

From the "Main Menu" on the left, choose the type of item you're requesting: 
  • Article
  • Book
  • Book Chapter
  • Conference Paper
  • Thesis
  • Multimedia
After choosing an item type, give the required information. The more information you provide, the faster your request will move through the process.
