Scopus covers the scientific, technical, medical and social sciences fields as well as arts and humanities. Scopus includes scholarly journals, book series, conference proceedings, trade publications and Open Access journals.
Aggregation of the full-texts of high-impact research journals focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences. Most of BioOnes titles are published by small societies and non-commercial publishers.
Environment Complete covers applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning and more. Environment Complete contains citations for articles from 1,200 domestic and international journals, as well as 100 monographs. The database provides full text for many of the most used journals in the discipline, and for the conference papers of the North American Association of Environmental Education.
Good for identifying scholarly journals, especially if you don't have access to a library database. It doesn't have as much ability to refine you search, but can sometimes pick up papers from websites the databases don't have access to.
The JSTOR project seeks to develop online access to the full back files of selected journals. The database contains a digitized image of every page and is searchable by every word.
