Children's and Young Adult Literature Collection

What:

The Children’s and Young Adult Literature Collection supports the teacher education program at Trinity University and is also available to all Trinity students, faculty, and staff. It consists of approximately 6,000 volumes of children and young adult fiction and non-fiction. Included are many award-winning titles, such as those receiving the Newberry or Caldecott prizes. Genres in this collection include literary classics, poetry, picture books, biographies, counting books, mysteries, histories, science and activity books.

Where:

In the catalog, the Children’s Literature Collection is identified by the symbol EML (Educational Materials Literature) preceding the call number. This collection is located on the second floor of the Coates Library in the northeast corner not far from the Special Collections and Archives Room.

Note: Classics of children's literature that are often be the subject of literary analysis may also be located in the regular stacks.
