Interlibrary Loan

What you might want to know about our interlibrary loan (ILL) service

How long will it take for my requested item to arrive?

ARTICLES AND BOOK CHAPTERS delivered electronically

Not much time at all! Electronic versions of articles and book chapters often arrive at your desktop within three to four days and sometimes much sooner. Warning: Difficult-to-find articles may take weeks.

BOOKS, CDs, DVDs, and other physical items

A little longer. The time it takes for these to arrive depends on several factors, including how close the supplying library is to Trinity, whether or not the item is immediately available at that library, and transit time. You should generally allow one to four weeks. IT IS IMPORTANT TO PLAN AHEAD WHEN USING INTERLIBRARY LOAN FOR PHYSICAL ITEMS WHEN YOU ARE WORKING ON A DEADLINE.
