Zotero
Zotero is a citation management tool helps you keep track of and organize various references for a paper or project. It also helps you to quickly create citations for your resources in a selected format (APA, MLA, Turabian, etc.)

Citation Tracking

One way to navigate the available literature surrounding your topic is to start with a relevant article or author, then work backward or forward. Ask yourself:

  • What sources does my article/book cite? (check the bibliography for potential leads)
  • Which later articles or books cite the article I've found?
  • Google Scholar
Search an article or book title, then look for Cited by links. These links will pull up lists of other works that have cited your source. Use ILL when necessary to get a copy.
  • SCOPUS
Scopus is an abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature, indexing over 19,000 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers. Scopus covers the scientific, technical, medical and social sciences fields as well as arts and humanities. Scopus includes scholarly journals, book series, conference proceedings, trade publications and Open Access journals.
