ARTH 3314: Issues in Contemporary Art

This guide gives starting points for conducting research in the Issues in Contemporary Art course.

Find Internet Sources

A number of the feminist artists and art movements/events may be challenging when conducting traditional research strategies.  Documentation relating to these events was not always well archived.  Do use the internet to search for information.  As you select internet sources for use in academic projects, think about the value and accuracy of these materials.  Remember: anyone can publish just about anything online.

Great options for finding information include...

--artist's professional website

--museum and gallery sites

--online pages for published art and art history magazines, journals, etc.

--Wikipedia, but depend on the sources included in the entry's bibliography
